The intention:
To complete the editioning within the year of Alex’s residency at the Albers Foundation.

88 plates.

15 sets in the edition.

3 Artist Proof sets.

20 to be printed from each plate to allow for imperfections.

1760 prints in total.

A marathon task.

The physical and practical considerations:

The quantity of paper.

Damping and storage of the paper before printing.

Blankets which became wet from the water pressed out as the paper runs through the press.

The storage of the printed sheets in blotting paper, under blocks.

When dry, the tearing down of the four prints to a sheet, to two.

The wrapping of the sheets into tissue and paper.

The artist’s hand on each plate, and each sheet, again and again.
