Island Songs, Ólafur Arnalds

27th June 2017 Back in my studio today after a wonderful evening at the UK premier of Ólafur Arnalds beautiful film "Island Songs" last night. My second viewing of the film, which shares the journey of the creation of the album, and just as powerful an experience. The gift of this album, and the seven pieces of music, continues to nourish my s...

Glass entrance at Tottenham Court Road underground station

My first experience coming up into the new glass entrance at Tottenham Court Road underground station. Pretty spectacular, especially on a day like today with blue skies and sunshine. Apparently the structures are illuminated at night. Well worth a visit. The architects were Stanton Williams.

Work 72-007, barbed wire shadow and cloth on panel, 122 x 244cm, 1972

The sound/resonance/vibration of the voices just cut right through everyth...

Walking in Northamptonshire, in a sea of bluebells and wild garlic.

Cataloging work

Long overdue cataloging of small canvases, and panels from some years ago. These carved panels have, literally, been kept under wraps since 2006, and were made during my time as Artist in Residence at the Albers Foundation.

Rare spring sunshine creating shadow self portrait.
