88 Days, The blind embossed etchings

88 days.

One plate made at the end of each day.

The physical weight of the stack of paper.

88 Days consists of a boxed set of 88 blind embossed etchings, one made at the end of each working day whilst Alex Calinescu was artist in residence at the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation in Connecticut USA, 4th April to 30th June 2006.

Editioned by the artist and the Master Printmaker Kip Gresham at the Print Studio, Cambridge, the project was finally completed in June 2009. A photographic diary documenting the making of 88 Days can be found on Alex Calinescu's website www.alexcalinescu.com

88 Days is published by The Artist in an edition of 15 sets
with 3 artist’s proof sets, 2 archive copies and 1 printer’s proof.

Plate size 18 x 14.5cm, paper size 33.5 x 29cm. Printed on white Moulin du Gu, waterleaf, 270gsm by the artist and Kip Gresham at The Print Studio, Cambridge.

The first five boxed sets to be purchased are available at a special price of £10,000 thereafter the price will be £15,000.
